Family Planning Program
Services are provided through the client's private provider, and nursing supervision and follow-up are provided at Wayne County Health Department. Services include contraceptive education and counseling, self-breast examination instructions, rubella education, and information about STDs, HIV, SBE, and prenatal care. Contraceptive supplies and pregnancy testing are available.
Client Information
*It is our policy to provide services to the residents of Wayne County*
- New clients must make an appointment to fill out paperwork on their first visit.
- New clients should have a prescription from their physician or clinic (pill packs won't work).
- New clients need a copy of their pap report. If your pap report is not available, you should sign a release at your pap visit and a copy of the pap report can be sent to the health department.
- You will be required to provide proof of income if employed, married, etc.
- It is your responsibility to take care of these issues before you make an appointment for family planning. If you need help with these things, we will be glad to assist you.
- The hours for family planning are as follows:
Monday 1:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Current pricing is $5.00 a pack for teens, and $10.00 for clients age 20 and above. Prices are subject to change.
